"For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" This statement is found in the latter portion of Revelation 19:10. This is a good "rule of thumb" for us. If Jesus is not being glorified and lifted up, then what is going on is not of God.
I found the following statement on Kim Clement's web site. http://www.kimclement.com/
"In a meeting that is packed with a prophetic people who prophesy [or unveil truth and who have vision], an unbeliever will discover that he is a treasure in God's eyes.
He will suddenly discover, and keenly be aware of the fact, that there is something beautiful that could come out of him. He is fully aware of the fact that he is a sinner because his entire life is controlled by sin. For the first time in his life he is in a setting where he "sees" something beautiful about himself. A church meeting for a sinner should be the most wonderful and awesome experience ever."
This needs to be our goal - "To so lift up Jesus so that everyone with whom we come in contact is "affected" and "infected"."
